The Food Pantry
The NWC Food Pantry is a ministry open to those who attend NWC with a vision to reach out to our neighboring community. Participants are allowed to receive food and toiletry items twice a month and are welcome to return on an unlimited basis. Opportunity is given for prayer requests to be filled out and received each week, along with a daily devotional encouragement handout. The location is in room M3/4 from 9:00am to 10:00am on Wednesdays. The volunteers arrive at 8:30am ready to assist by stocking bread, bagging fruits, vegetables, cereal, laundry detergent, eggs and margarine or whatever God blesses us to give out. The volunteers stay through 10:00am and some stay on to be available to pray and to give assistance on the spot.
"Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:37-40
